The story is Threefold

In 2009, Mark Pearce joined Kellermeister as their CEO and with the owners of 35 years, Ralph and Val Jones, set about rejuvenating the well-known Barossa brand.

Following the retirement of the Jones’ at the end of last year, Mark did a ‘Remington’ – he loved the product so much, he bought the company.

We were fortunate to go on this journey with them as design consultants, which included new branding and packaging across their ranges.

Adding to the mix, Mark created a new range consisting of three wines from his Barossa property. Aptly called Threefold Farm, the wines were given the nicknames of his three children, and a sub-brand logo was developed, reflecting their individual personalities. The painting of the property is intrinsic in Mark’s philosophy and adds to his goal of “expressing the purity and provenance” of the Barossa.

Every aspect of the packaging was crafted with detailed excellence in mind. From the capsule through to the carton, forward thinking allowed the best suppliers to be sourced, and the result is a package that embodies the heart and soul of the owner – something that is so important and often lacking in this age of virtual wineries.

Mark and his team have an extraordinary legacy to continue and we have enjoyed the privilege of working side by side with them on this next stage of the Kellermeister journey. If their recent success in national and international wine awards is anything to go by… watch this space!

But will we ever get to re-design the almost Heritage Listed Pink Mink and Sable?

Never in my time.
